Get puzzled at the Puzzle Mansion in Tagaytay, Philippines

Tagaytay is a city near the area of Cavite. We come here often to relax and enjoy the climate because of its cold atmosphere. Compared to Manila, I think it is usually 5 degrees colder? That is just a guess. Most of the people would just hang around the Picnic Grove, palace in the sky or enjoy the spas and the other attractions around. Well, this time I am taking you to a place that had puzzled us (literally) and fascinated us, the Puzzle Mansion.

Some of you may have heard about it on the news or to some it could be a first especially those who live away from the country. I am definitely recommending you guys to go and visit it. Reasons why? Read this story.

The Puzzle Mansion is actually a bed and breakfast but they have this amazing museum where it houses 1,028+ puzzles. The place is owned by the departed Mrs. Gina Gil Lacuna. Unfortunately she is not around anymore (Rest her soul), but her family is continuing her legacy. She was very fortunate to be included in the Guinness Book of Records for holding the largest collection of puzzles in the world.

Ok, I am a fan of puzzles but what really had strucked me during this trip is the different types of existing puzzles around the world. According to one of the guides, she had collected all these puzzles during her vacation trips in different countries. The most common are the puzzle boards which she had framed and displayed all over. Here are some photos of the interesting ones.

The World's Biggest Puzzle

Just have a look how big and long that is, my bro is standing in the middle

This is the original box of the puzzle

I have heard that they also had completed the smallest puzzle in the world which is only a 1/8 size of coupon bond paper but it has 1,000 pieces. I cannot imagine how they would solve the puzzle. They are still currently framing it and putting it on record for the Guinness Book of Records.

A must try is also their coconut cream pie. I was not able to take a photo of the pie but you will never forget the rich taste of the pie as soon as you tasted it.

Only one thing needed for the place, it needs more space for the exhibits. You cannot see everything properly because some are hidden in small spaces. I hope the successors would address this. Other than that the visit can only be described as AWESOME. Here are MORE PHOTOS of the puzzles that I have taken during my visit. Feel free to browse through everything :) HERE IS THE LINK All Puzzle Mansion Photo Collection
